CavaMiner License
Version 1.0, 2026-10-14
Copyright (c) 2026 Dennis Frank Mogensen. All rights reserved.
CavaMiner (the "Software") is published in binary form, together with its
documentation and integrations (together with the Software, the
"Release"). This license lets you use it free of charge, on the
conditions below.
1. What you may do
a. Use: install and run the Software on any number of computers, for
private or commercial purposes, free of charge.
b. Share: copy and pass on the Release as published, complete and
unchanged (including this license and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt), free
of charge. Mirrors and operating-system images that include the
unchanged Release are allowed.
c. Integrations: the files under "integrations" (for example the Home
Assistant integration) come as source code. You may change them and
pass on changed copies, free of charge, for use with the Software, as
long as this license goes with them and changed files say that they
were changed. Section 2 a does not apply to them.
2. What you may not do
a. Modify, adapt, translate, patch or otherwise change the Software or
any other part of the Release (except the integrations, see 1 c), or
create derivative works of them.
b. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise try to derive
the source code, algorithms or internal design of the Software,
except where, and only as far as, applicable law expressly permits
this despite this restriction.
c. Remove, disable, reduce, redirect or otherwise circumvent the dev fee
or any other part of how the Software works.
d. Remove or change copyright notices, this license or the third-party
notices.
e. Sell, rent, lease or sublicense the Software, or charge for passing
it on. Charging for a service you provide with it (for example
hosting or managing mining rigs) is allowed.
3. Dev fee
The Software mines part of the time for its development, as described
in its documentation (in this version: 2 % of the PearlHash mining time
and 1 % of the RandomX mining time). Using the Software means accepting
this.
4. Third-party software
The Software contains open-source components under their own licenses,
listed with their license texts in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt. Those
licenses apply to those components, and nothing in this license limits
the rights they give you.
5. Your responsibility
The Software changes GPU clocks and power limits, runs hardware at full
load and connects to mining pools. You are responsible for your
hardware, its cooling and power supply, your electricity costs, the
laws that apply to you (including on mining and taxes) and the rules of
the pools you use.
6. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER
BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO
HARDWARE AND LOST DATA, COINS, REWARDS OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM, OUT OF
OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE.
8. End of the license
This license ends automatically if you break its terms; you must then
stop using and passing on the Software. Sections 4 to 7 continue to
apply.
9. Later versions
Later releases may come with a newer version of this license; the
version included with a copy applies to that copy.
